Annapurna Region Trekking in Nepal
Annapurna Region Trekking is one of the popular trekking trails situated in the western part of the Nepal offers to have the panoramic views of incredible diverse scenery of white mountain ranges, lowland villages, flora and fauna. About two-thirds of trekking trekking in the Nepal’s Himalaya visit the Annapurna Region because it is easily accessible, has plentiful guest houses in the hills, cheap and budget treks and offers the unique mixture of cultural and natural experience. The entire massif and surrounding area are protected within the 7,629 km2 Annapurna Conservation Area, the first and largest conservation area in Nepal. The Annapurna Conservation Area is home to several world class treks, including the Annapurna Circuit.
Stating from the lake of city Pokhara, the popular treks leads to Jomsom, Annapurna Base Camp, Mustang, Manang, Ghorepani Poon Hill, Ghandruk, Sikles, Nar Phu Valley, Mardi Himal, Tilicho Pass, Thorung la Pass, panchase, Dhaulagiri base camp, Lo Manthang. There are three major trekking routes in the Annapurna Region: the Jomsom cultural trek to Jomsom and Muktinath, the Annapurna Sanctuary route to the Annapurna base camp trek and the Annapurna circuit trek goes around the Annapurna Massif including the Jomsom route. Annapurna trekking trail no doubt is the most popular trekking for Nepal travelers. Because, one can have panoramic sceneries of Himalayas, including of the Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937 m.) , Mt. Annapurna III (7555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Annapurna south (7219m), Mt. Nilgiri (7041m), Mt. Fishtail also called Mt. Machhapuchhare (6998m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6986m), Tukuche peak (6920m), Tilicho peak (7134m). The Annapurna peaks are among the world’s most dangerous mountains to climb. Furthermore, there are the settlements of diverse communities such as Bramin, Chhetree, Tibetian sherpa, Thakali, magars, Tamang, Gurung. Subsequently, it is the trail which is rich in wild animals such as Mountain Thair/ Goat, Leopards, Jackal, birds such as pheasant, long-tail birds among others.
